As a news reporter
I interviewed the attorney general
of the state of New Mexico,
who was then running
for governor. We were outside a restaurant
in the parking lot and he propped
his foot up on the bumper
of a car in front of us.

The owner
of the car appeared
and asked our next governor
to remove his foot—

which he did.
